The line test is a motor task which has been developed as part of the NoTremor project as a potential assessment of hand control.
NoTremor organised a Satellite Workshop at VPH 2016: "Multi-Scale Modeling and Simulation and Analytics for Parkinson’s disease". The scope of the satellite event was to provide a platform for new ideas, achievements and implementations in the field of computational modeling for Parksinson's disease (PD).
Between December 2015 and February 2016 the NoTremor project has deployed clinical trials in Thessaloniki- Greece with patients suffering from Parkinson’s disease and control healthy subjects. The goal of these trials was to optimize the developed modelling approaches and collect patient feedback regarding the usability of the developed software tools and functionalities.
The proposal of the NoTremor project for a specialized workshop was accepted at the Virtual Physiological Human Conference. The organization committee of the workshop consists of members of the consortium who are aiming to attract the attention of researchers in the field and support the multidisciplinary cooperation of researchers towards the creation of a framework for the Multi-Scale Modeling, Simulation and Analytics for Parkinson’s Disease.
You are all welcome to submit your papers and attend the workshop on September 27th at Amsterndam- The Netherlands
The results of the first year of the NoTremor project were presented in the ICT conference at Lisbon-Portugal. The conference was a good opportunity for a informal meeting of the consortium members and the dissemination of the project outcomes to the research community of Europe. More specifically, demonstrations of the NoTremor system functionalities were available for conference attendees to use and validate, and the representatives of the project have been discussing future directions, alternative approaches and possible cooperation with any interested researcher.
The NoTremor project has participated in the eHealth Forum in Athens-Greece. This was a great opportunity for the project engineers and software developers to come in contact with other projects from the academic and commercial sector and discuss alternative approaches for the promotion of eHealth solutions in a European and National level. Furthermore, possible future synergies were discussed and so as to create a strong and competitive national front for the transformation of health care on the basis of modern technologies
